Starting point
The owner wanted software to match surrogates and families. The first version reflected that request, but delivery alone did not reveal everything employees needed from it.
What we built
The matching software brings surrogate profiles, family inquiries, and staff follow-up into one private directory. Staff can filter profiles or describe what they need in plain language, review the filters suggested by AI, and apply them. Families, or staff acting on their behalf, can request a match call or ask a question. An agency inbox keeps those inquiries together. We worked directly with employees to refine the features and experience around their daily work. A waitlist emails families when a surrogate they are waiting for becomes available, alongside match notifications and digests. Partner agencies have their own teams with manager and team-member roles, and AI translates every profile into Chinese for international families. AI-assisted imports turn PDFs into profiles, with duplicate detection to keep the same person from being entered twice.

After several rounds of changes, employees were using it regularly.
