Walkthrough of ImpressionCheck. A seller starts a post-design survey, adds a product listing image and writes the answer they intend shoppers to give to each question, then orders responses. A panel shopper sees the image for three seconds and describes what they think the product is and why. The seller then sees letter grades comparing shoppers' impressions with their intent.

Starting point
Amazon sellers needed a way to test how shoppers perceived their product listings. General survey tools did not fit the specific comparison between the seller’s intent and the shopper’s impression.
What we built
Sellers build a survey around a product listing and record their intended impression by answering the same questions shoppers will see. Shoppers view the listing for a set time and submit their responses. Results compare those answers with the seller’s intent, with overall and per-question grades and AI-assisted summaries. A version under another brand let sellers do the same research from within that company’s software.
Sellico Snapshot: the same tool under another brand
Sellico Snapshot is a version of ImpressionCheck offered under Sellico’s name, within its software for sellers. Users open it from their dashboard and organize surveys against campaign numbers. Sellers choose the listing material and record their intended answers. Shoppers view the listing briefly and answer the same questions. Analysis compares the responses with the seller’s intent, showing overall and per-question grades alongside AI-assisted suggestions.

Ongoing work
The standalone and embedded versions show two ways to distribute the same research capability.
