Walkthrough of Ronati's AI search. A team member uploads a buyer's photo of a mirror, then adds a written description and keywords. The system matches all three against the catalog and returns ranked inventory. The top match is opened and placed on hold for the buyer.
- 0:01
Start from whatever the buyer has: here, a photo of the piece they want.
- 0:04
Add a plain-language description and a few keywords to the same search.
- 0:10
The matching engine combines the photo, the description and the keywords.
- 0:14
Relevant inventory comes back ranked, with what each piece matched on.
- 0:19
The team opens the best match to check the details.

Then a person takes it from there: the piece goes on hold while the sale and delivery are arranged.
Starting point
Buyers searching for unusual, highly specific pieces could not always express what they wanted with a conventional keyword search.
What we built
The search system accepts an uploaded image, a description in everyday words, keywords, or a combination. A custom matching approach connects those inputs to the catalog of antiques and unique goods, helping the team review relevant items and continue the conversation with a buyer.
What happened next
The project enabled three ways to search within one system, giving the team a more flexible route to relevant inventory.
Ongoing work
The work connected the AI capability to a specific business task: helping people find a relevant item, then continuing the sale and delivery process.
